How do you REALLY feel about dieting?

It’s terrible, right?

-You spend most of the time half-starved, irritable and dreaming about french fries and chocolate cake!

-You feel awful in social situations because there’s never anything to eat that fits into your diet and when you do eat, you feel horribly guilty.

-Often if you lose weight, you gain it back, leaving you feeling completely frustrated.

-You’re tired of constantly thinking about your weight and want to feel good about your body and how you look.

I do not want us to work together forever. I want to support you, educate you and teach you to do this on your own. I want to give you the knowledge, confidence and tools to attain the one thing we want for all our loved ones: health and happiness.

Here’s what I think!

Reaching your health goals should never be complicated or miserable. You shouldn’t have to go through life working out excessively, starving, or living on kale and water (hey, I love kale but living on it is not my idea of happiness and I’m pretty sure you’d agree). It’s about finding a lifestyle that’s doable over the long haul and in all kinds of situations (12 hour work days, family vacations, work trips, nights out, pregnancy and post-pregnancy, health challenges, etc.) We want results that are sustainable and will last.

IT’S ABOUT FINDING BALANCE IN YOUR LIFE AND HAVING FUN

It’s about letting go of the guilt and shame over what you put in your mouth. You’ll eat hundreds of thousands of things during your lifetime, we gotta’ get some perspective!

Some self-compassion is key!

MY PHILOSOPHY ABOUT WEIGHT LOSS & NUTRITION:

It’s about eating REAL food that makes you feel good.

Eating is about consistency, not perfection. What you do MOST of the time is more important than what you do SOME of the time.

It’s about making changes you will stick too even when your job is totally stressing you out or your kids are driving you nuts.

My coaching is about finding solutions that will finally help you get the results you have always wanted. No quick fix “water weight” losses. No more obsessing over counting calories or finding the absolute perfect macro level. No more yo-yo diets or rules about eating on even numbered days on odd hours when the moon is full and the winds are at 8 knots (totally absurd but you get my point).
